ABOUT US

Hopes Helping Hand’s Advocacy Center offers a variety of educational services for parents and children with disabilities and or learning issues at the educational and post-secondary level.  All services will be offered by a highly qualified trained and licensed individual who is very knowledgeable about Special education processes and special education laws. 

OUR MISSION

The mission of Hopes Helping Hand Advocacy Center is to provide support to students and parents with disabilities, help improve their academic and social skills. Together with families and students we help develop an educational plan to meet the student’s unique needs, focus on their strengths and provide support and teach organizational and study skills to students who may have some kind of disability that hinders their learning. Hopes Helping Hand Advocacy Center will foster independence, self-advocacy and mental health.

SERVICES

Advocacy----Help with Students individualized Education Plans (explaining paperwork, attending meetings if needed)

Tutoring---- providing tutoring for every grade kinder to college, schoolwork, preparing for assessments STAAR, ACT/SAT Prep

College preparedness---Resumes, Scholarship help

​College support---Helping students get prepared with study skills, review and revise papers and more.

Study and organizational skills​--Teach students study skills and organizational skills so they can be successful.

support services​-- provide advisory skills on courses to take and in what order.

Support for new Special Education teachers---Guidance on paperwork, classroom management and more
